Realme claims that the new Narzo 30A offers a solid blend of features and performance at an affordable price.

Design of the Realme Narzo 30A
Let's begin with the layout. The Realme Narzo 30 series' most affordable smartphone now looks new and has a different design than its predecessors. On the back of the Realme Narzo 30A, there are diagonal lines on the bottom two-thirds and a plain upper half. The pattern is attractive and makes it easy to hold the smartphone. Realme used a camera module with a square form that reminded me of the Realme Narzo 20. There's also a fingerprint scanner on the back, which is well-placed and simple to operate. On the side, the power and volume buttons are likewise conveniently located.
The Realme Narzo 30A features a 6.5-inch display with a tall 20:9 aspect ratio and a 6.5-inch display that is relatively large. To reach the top of the screen, you'll have to stretch your fingers a little. The SIM tray is located on the left side of the frame, and it features two Nano-SIM slots as well as a dedicated storage expansion slot.
When you pick up the smartphone, you'll note that it isn't the lightest handset on the market. The Realme Narzo 30A is fairly weighty, weighing at 207g. Performance of the Realme Narzo 30A
The Realme Narzo 30A performed admirably in regular use and could also handle light gaming. If this describes your regular usage behavior, the phone should meet your expectations. The back fingerprint scanner was quick to verify, and facial recognition just required one attempt to unlock the phone. The Realme Narzo 30A sports a display with an HD+ resolution that is adequate for the price range. I thought the display was good indoors, but it was just average outside in direct sunlight.
I performed benchmarks on the Realme Narzo 30A to evaluate how it compares to the competition. In AnTuTu, the Narzo 30A received 2,04,869 points, while in PCMark's Work 2.0 test suite, it received 8,712 points. In the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench 5, it earned 363 and 1299 points, respectively. In the T-Rex and Car Chase tests on GFXBench, the smartphone managed 55fps and 18fps, respectively.
I tested the Realme Narzo 30A with Call of Duty Mobile to see how it performs. The game's graphics were set to Low by default, and the framerate was set to Medium. At these settings, the game was playable without latency. After 20 minutes of gameplay, I detected a 3% reduction in battery life, which is reasonable. The phone was a little warm to the touch, but nothing to be concerned about.
With my regular usage, the Realme Narzo 30A's battery life was fantastic, and the phone lasted two days before needing to be charged. The phone lasted 27 hours and 11 minutes in our HD video loop test, which is fantastic. The Narzo 30A could be the perfect companion if you binge-watch a lot of video content on your phone. The Narzo 30A can be charged to 15% in half an hour and up to 33% in an hour using the provided 18W charger. Keep in mind that even with this rapid charger, the battery will still take two and a half hours to fully charge.
Cameras of the Realme Narzo 30A
A 13-megapixel primary camera and a monochrome portrait camera with an undisclosed resolution are included in the Realme Narzo 30A. It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera app hasn't changed, and selecting the perfect setting wasn't tough. There are several shooting modes available, as well as a camera AI that can adjust the color settings automatically based on the scene or item you're pointing at.
The images taken by the Realme Narzo 30A looked good on the phone's display in daylight, but when I magnified the image, I observed poorer details. At a distance, text with large characters was legible, but the overall image lacked crispness. A 'Chroma Boost' toggle raises the contrast somewhat and improves shadow detail.
Close-ups of inappropriate light were good, and the phone managed a soft background bokeh effect. In my testing, the Realme Narzo 30A struggled to concentrate on tiny things on occasion. With good edge detection, portrait photos turned out rather well. Before you take the picture, you can also adjust the blur level.
The phone's low-light camera performance was below average while taking a photo in standard Photo mode took over two seconds. The result was lacking in detail in the shadows, and the decreased shutter speed caused motion blur. In the camera app, there is also a Night mode that takes over four seconds to capture a picture. This mode adjusts for handshaking, and photographs were generally brighter, although it did little to increase shadow detail.
The Realme Narzo 30A took good selfies and produced good photographs in both daylight and low light. The primary camera's video recording is limited to 1080p and lacks stabilization, resulting in shaky footage. During the day, I found the quality to be average, with lesser details while shooting at night or in low light.
Verdict of the Realme Narzo 30A
Realme has kept the Narzo 30A's price under Rs. 10,000, making it a viable option for many people on a low budget. For the price, the smartphone provides good overall performance that is more than suitable for general use and a little gaming on the side. One of the best features of this smartphone is its battery life, which I found to be great.
Although it does snap nice selfies, the camera performance isn't the finest I've seen at this price point. Aside from this main stumbling block, I believe the Realme Narzo 30A is still a decent value for money.
